Taxes

Just mailed my 2nd quarter estimated taxes. Ack. I hope that makes things less painful come next April.

I’m also paranoid about someone being able to read my info by holding the envelope up to the light. Maybe I should get better “security envelopes”!

  1. It should make things a lot less painful in April!

I was under the impression you could file that stuff online as well, similar to what those of us who still work for “the man” do every April. Is that not correct, because I would have though you’d be first on the keyboard for doing so if it were the case?

Oh, you should definitely get some security envelopes (or at least double stuff). It’s not often that you get $3 piece of mind in this world.

Yeah, I should do both of those things. I just haven’t gotten around to signing up for the online deal yet. The envelopes I have are “security” envelopes, I just noticed that they weren’t all that great.

  4. Is it free to file online? When you file with TurboTax, you get one free e-file, (or rather a rebate equal to one after you’ve paid), but have to pay for any others you file. There may be a free option that isn’t TurboTax that I don’t know about, though.

Well, I’m pretty sure it’s free to send in your estimated payments. Filing your annual thing may not be, though. I think that’s part of the fee I pay my accountant.
