Thanks to Henry (right here), I now have a new (refurbished) Canon PowerShot A520. An extra megapixel (4) and a little smaller than what I sent in. Apparently the A70 was beyond repair. Canon was also nice enough to send a 128MB SD card, which is really good because I only have CompactFlash cards.
Speaking of which, does anybody want to buy some CF cards from me? I have no use for them, and I expect the next camera I get will use SD cards as well (6 megapixel Elph!). I also have a PC card CF reader that I don’t need.
When I hooked it up to download pictures tonight, I noticed something odd in the preferences for Image Capture. Does this look normal to you:
I don’t want things to mess with the color profile, do I? Is this the default setting (I don’t think I ever messed with it).
Because I don’t have any image capture device connected I can’t tell what my settings are, but I believe I have that set to ‘camera RGB profile’ (as opposed to Adobe RGB or whatever the options are).
Also, yeah, I’m probably interested in your CF. What size cards you does got again?

Yeah, I do have 2 1gb cards already. I was just hoping you had another. Mebbe I’d like that 512 … I’ll think about it.
I’d've jumped on those a month ago, but I grabbed that 1GB card and I doubt I’ll ever near capacity on it.
