Next week, Megan and I are heading to Richmond, VA to check out a possible job there and see if we like the city. That would be a really drastic change for us, since neither of us have ever lived outside of Cookeville. I’ll be 30 in February … perhaps it’s time for a change.
The week after, we’re going to (probably) drive up to Blacksburg, VA to check out another job/town. Blacksburg seems less intimidating because it’s a Cookeville-ish (college) town. It may not be as good a place for the two of us though, since there wouldn’t be as much opportunity for dance education/employment (without driving almost an hour to Roanoke). We’ll see. The company I’m looking at there seems really hip and with the web standards stuff.
That is all for now.

Angela and I are looking forward to showing you as much of Richmond as you guys have time for. Blacksburg is nice, too, but it sounds like you’ve already figured out it’s main drawback: it makes Cookeville seem huge.
This is exciting news…It’s nice to feel like you have options, whether you choose them or not.
Wishing y’all a safe trip and a clear path regarding decisions to be made.
Blacksburg is about 2 hours north of us (greensboro). Nothing there. But you’d be a reasonable drive to decent SKIING… you you might see me drop in!
I’ve lived there and it is a pretty cool place. Thing that sucks is the 8-9 hour drive from C-ville to Richmond. Cost of living is similar to Nashville…maybe just a little more expensive. I’ll look and see if I still have a city map.
